It just shifts the problem of botting from the rmter’s to the players. My case: There is no gain from disallowing trading. The farmer types don’t even buy the game and the it is the player who bots instead. They’re still paying for the same advantage but the middleman rmt guy is cut out. But what if this shifts the problem of botting from the rmters to the players? Do these players now buy a bot instead, and just bot themselves. If you disallow trading, the players who would normally buy their advantage from 3rd party sites, can’t do that any more. How many of D3’s high box sales do you think were attributed to the real money auction house craze, with people botting multiple accounts for rmah profit. Which reduces number of boxes sold, reduces income for blizzard. These guys won’t even buy accounts any more. So you remove trading, and these guys can’t sell items 3rd party any more. Many of them are botting to get the items to sell. If you allow trading, you will have 3rd party item sellers.
